72 (35) Thames Barrier Park

Uncompromisingly close the River Thames you will find the Thames Barrier Park by the north bank of the Thames and with great views of the Thames Barrier from the Thames Path which follows the River Thames until I really can’t think of more ways of including the word Thames in this sentence without getting very silly.

As well as barrier photo taking the Thames Barrier Park has room a plenty with lawns, trees and the different Yew and Maygreen hedges. The park also contains a well received children's play area, a fountain plaza, 5 a side football/basketball court, and is an all round jolly nice place so why not have a picnic (if its not raining of course). Take a walk to Green Dock in spring and summer and enjoy the flowers.

73 (54) Hyde park

Be mildly entertained by Speaker's Corner, seek out Marble Arch or just take your shoes off, lay down and find a friendly face in the clouds.

74 (113) The Gherkin - 30 St Mary Axe

The Gherkin name comes from its somewhat phallic appearance. Other interesting names include the Erotic Gherkin, the Towering Innuendo, and the Crystal Phallus (also a pun on Crystal Palace). You get the idea.

75 (33) Diana Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain

The concept is quite beautiful and charming. An impressive piece of landscaping. The park that contains the fountain is peaceful and attractive. Worth a visit if you are nearby and/or 'into' the Royals.
